PRESSRELEASE
UC07 Wrapped Up
We would like to thank all of our clients who attended the 2007 TMA User Conference. The event was nothing short of a raging success with 535 attendees enjoying presentations from TMA users and employees. The conference commenced with the "Opening Session" presented by John Smith, Chief Executive Officer and Gary Schaecher, Founder and President of TMA Systems. John provided a brief overview of the successes and challenges of TMA during the past year and our plans for making 2007 a year of greater success and achievement. Gary highlighted upcoming features and functionality planned for TMA Desktop version 8.5, WebTMA version 4.0, and ACT version 7.0.
The Conference was packed with three full days of presentations for equipping participants with the knowledge to more fully utilize their TMA solution. These sessions included a management track and multiple sessions on using TMA products and services more effectively.
The evening events offered a time for networking and relaxation with other participants and TMA staff. The Christopher Cross concert was sensational and thoroughly enjoyed by the group. Casino Night, as always, was filled with plenty of casual fun, the excitement of winning great prizes, and visiting with old and new friends in a fun environment.
Here are a few of the comments from attendees:
By attending this conference, I took away so much more than TMA training. It was extremely advantageous to hear a reinforcement of philosophies on processes and procedures. I also gained insight form interactions with high performing operations related to their core business systems and how we can bring that same blueprint to our environment. Steve Pomroy, Tempe School District #3
TMA is just the best in Customer Support. The User Conference shows active and potential clients that your ability to coordinate, plan, support, communicate, and give plain and simple respect is just unmatched. No one does it like TMA!!! Larry Olofson, Iowa State University

TMA Spotlight Feature
Default Inactivity Time Limit
With Version 8.0 the TMA System Administrator can set a default Inactivity Time Limit to specify when users will be automatically logged out of TMA.
This feature gives you control of instances where users remain logged in to TMA throughout the day without actively working, and, therefore, actively counted as licensed users. The TMA System Administrator determines the value of the time-out period from Admin > Preferences. In View mode, click the Change button and complete the Inactivity Timeout window. Inactivity is ignored when the Admin > Preferences window is open. The following describes details about how the Time-Out functions work:
- A value of 0 (zero) disables automatic logoff
- The maximum Inactivity value is 999 minutes
- TMA checks for inactivity every 20 seconds
- Inactivity time-out value is refreshed from the database once every five minutes, which allows the TMA System Administrator to adjust the time-out value throughout the day
- Actions that reset the Inactivity timer are: opening a window, clicking TMA toolbar buttons, double-clicking a Browse Tab line item, and pressing any key to enter information in most (but not all) windows
- If inactivity exceeds the time-out period, TMA automatically logs the user off the system. Users with a “Logon.TMA file” in their base TMA folder are returned to the TMA logo window with the Log In or Continue button visible. If the TMA System Administrator changes the Inactivity time-out after a user has logged on, it can take up to five minutes and twenty seconds before the new value is “registered” on the user’s workstation
